Female predators, these women who feed on their living prey, independent of males
BLACK WIDOW
QUEEN BEE
The queen bee is the only fertile female bee in the hive and is also the mother of most, if not all, of the bees in the hive. She will mate with several males in mid-flight until her sperm bank is full. The males that have fertilized her will all die shortly after mating, their genitalia having been torn out.
PRAYING MANTIS
The female praying mantis eats the male during mating. She starts with the head while the male's body continues to mate. But it's not systematic, if the female isn't hungry, she won't eat him. But if she's hungry, she'll attack him, for evil is easy prey, it's much smaller than the female. It also happens that two females meet, fight and devour each other. Predatory insects are indeed often cannibals.
ANACONDA
The anaconda is a viviparous animal, i.e. the young are born already formed. Mating takes place underwater and the female can have up to a dozen partners. She will give birth to ten or fifteen young measuring between sixty and eighty centimetres.
